Last weekend something wonderful happened (well, mostly wonderful!), I finally ran my first ever 10k race Mallorca style! The Sol Magaluf race, which I was invited to take part in by the ME Melia hotel group – the main sponsors of the race – was set to test both my mental and physical strength. I know a lot of people run a 10k with their eyes closed, but with the issues I’ve had over the years with my knees, this is such a huge achievement. Magaluf isn’t somewhere I’ve ever been to before, but I haven’t been living under a… View Post

A slightly different post from me this week… Because I had so many of you commenting on my Instagram posts and people snap-chatting me, asking about the outfits I was wearing whilst at the Azul Yoga & Pilates retreat last week, I’ve put together my yoga wardrobe. If you haven’t read about it yet, then read my Azul Retreat review here. For those who have read it and have seen the many Instagram posts, I’ve created this guide to my yoga wardrobe in case any one fancies an online shopping trip! BEACHWEAR & SWIMWEAR – BEACHCAFE All of my swimwear… View Post

As some of you will have seen from my recent Instagram posts, I’ve had the absolute pleasure of spending the past five days at the Azulfit Yoga & Pilates retreat. I often get asked for retreat recommendations, so I’m making it one of my mission this year to bring you reviews of the where I go. First up is my Azul Retreat review… Before I even arrived at Azulfit in Fuerteventura I knew it was going to be a good experience, not only because of the lovely AzulFit staff I’d been emailing, but because my wonderful friend, travel partner and stand-in… View Post

I’m beyond excited to be heading out to Azul Fit yoga retreat in Fuerteventura this Saturday for five days of pure yoga and foodie heaven. The fact that I’m getting to experience it with one of my favourite friends just makes it even better. This will actually be my first ever yoga retreat experience, so I can’t wait to fully immerse myself in what they have to offer. Of course I’ve been counting down the days and thinking about what I need to pack, so here are the things I’m taking that you may not have thought of. An Open… View Post

If you didn’t see my photos on Instagram, then you won’t know that I’ve just returned from a little trip to Iceland. Rob and I flew last Wednesday night, as I had some work to do there on Thursday & Friday and then we spent the weekend exploring. Here’s how we decided to explore Iceland in two days… Whilst in Reykjavik working we stayed in the cutest B&B called The Treasure B&B, which was right in the centre of town, but tucked away in little side road, so we still felt slightly hidden. We called our room ‘The Cave’ as… View Post

Sitting in my bedroom right now at my parents, having Rob just return from the Bahamas and then leave again back to our home, I’ve got a severe case of wanderlust and am on the hunt for some new adventure holiday destinations. I’ve been very lucky growing up and have amazing parents who love going on cultural holidays. When I was a little brat, I always moaned about going for long hikes of visiting amazing historic buildings…. oh how things have changed! I’ve gone full circle and am totally turning into my parents. There’s nothing quite like a good old… View Post

I was recently extremely lucky to be sent off on my travels with Rob to Portugal by Thomson Holidays to check out the Robinson Quinta da Ria Club. When we were on our way home we got talking to an older couple, who without knowing I was a blogger were talking about journalists getting holidays for free and then “obviously” writing good things about the destination. SO, before going into detail about our trip, I just want to make it clear that these are MY genuine views… When we first arrived at the Robinson Club we were rather surprised to find… View Post

When fitness is a big part of your weekly routine, the thought of leaving it behind whilst you go on holiday can be tough for some. Note that I said “for some”, as a lot of people see holiday as a time to rest up and relax their healthy eating and fitness regime. That’s no bad thing at all, but as I’ve been travelling a little more lately I needed to explore ways of keeping up with my workouts whilst feeling a bit all over the place! On my most recent trip to Portugal I put a few of the… View Post

I don’t really even know how to begin this blog post, as the last week has been so amazing. As readers of my blog will know, Rob and I set off for Norway earlier this week so that we could hike the Trolltunga trail near Odda, along with lots more amazing countryside sightseeing. I’d read so many reviews of the hike, so I knew it would take us around 10 hours and that the first 1km was tough, but neither Rob or I were prepared for how tough the whole hike really was! Here’s my Trolltunga hike review… Setting The Scene… View Post

I’m so unbelievably excited about my trip to Trolltunga Norway next week. About a year ago Rob sent me the photo above, just as a “wow, look at this” sort of thing, BUT he now knows that you never send me a photo like that and not end up going there! Ha. It may have been a year since I heard about the Trolltunga hike in Norway, but I’m still as excited as ever about it and can’t quite believe that next week I’ll be trekking hours through rocks and snow to get to this amazing point. I’ll of course… View Post
