I recently spoke about my favourite yoga mats over on my Instagram Story and had so many messages from you all asking more questions, so I thought I’d write a more thorough blog post about them all. Hopefully my guide to the best yoga mat will help you when picking which mat to next root your toes into. Please remember that these are the best yoga mats in MY OPINION and might not be the best for everyone. Before you buy a mat, make sure you read a few different reviews, so that you can make the right choice on… View Post

I’m very aware that this post is coming rather late, as we’re over half way through my #YOGANUARY challenge, but as the videos are free and will be staying on YouTube, you can take part at any time and repeat any flows or sessions that you like. The best way to think of #YOGANUARY is a month full of free online yoga classes! I’m so blown away with the comments I’ve had so far – So many people are loving it, which makes me so happy. I realised this morning that stupidly I haven’t told you all about it on… View Post

Dear 2017, I’ve been told that because of the way the stars and planets are aligning, you will be a tough year for me. I’m still not sure how much I believe that, no matter how much of a star-gazing geek I am. But it doesn’t really matter whether I believe it or not, as all that knowing has done for me is to make me even more determined to work on myself and to overcome any hurdles that stand in my path, trying to knock me down. 2017, I’m not having a go at you. I’m actually so excited… View Post

2016 has been a pretty incredible year full of adventures. I’ve completed not one, but two yoga teacher training courses. One of those meant seven weeks in Thailand, by far the longest I’ve ever been away from family. I’ve taught yoga for a huge international brand in the middle of a London park. I ran my first 10k race. I started my YouTube channel. I’ve travelled to seven countries. And I’ve been featured in a few magazines along the way. To say I’m honoured and proud is an understatement. As I write this now I’m welling up because I feel… View Post

We’re officially into the Christmas season, so I’ll now be able to accept and enjoy Christmas songs on the radio! For us health and fitness lovers I think that throughout this season there’s always an underlying question of “How much should I indulge at Christmas and throughout this month?” And yes, to some that may be ‘sad’, but we love our bodies and want to do what makes both our body, but more importantly our mind happy. I can’t and I won’t tell you what to do with your Christmas season, how to enjoy food, how much to indulge, how much… View Post

You may have heard the name yin yoga being thrown around and you may have already asked people “what is yin yoga?”. After my recent teacher training with The Yoga People, Yin is definitely a solid part of my weekly yoga practice, as it’s so nourishing for both the body and mind. I know we can say that about all types of yoga, but for me being a very yang kind of person, yin yoga had to fight for a place in my heart and now it’s there, it’s there to stay. So what is yin yoga? The method of… View Post

In this modern world I think so many of us feel that to be happy and successful we need to be ‘talented’ at something, but I beg to differ. Some small and very easy things require zero talent, but can change a person’s mindset to being happier and more understanding of life and what they want out of it. When I say ‘zero talent’, I’m talking about things that come from within us. Things that we decide about ourselves. Choices we make on how we live our lives. So here are my top five things that require zero talent… KINDNESS… View Post

Whilst in Thailand it’s safe to say that I didn’t run at all. Actually that’s a little fib, I did two sprints in the gym and it was so hot I thought I was going to pass out, so thought it best to stop, relax and have a white chocolate almond Magnum. Because obviously! Now that I’m back I want to get into running again and I know it’s going to be a little tough, so here are my running tips for beginners. I love running because it’s one of the forms of fitness that you tend to see progression in… View Post

It’s been just over two years since I first started using Kayla Itsines’ bikini body guide, which is quite a long time! If you want to follow my Kayla journey from the start then I recommend reading these other blog posts, including an earlier BBG review, an interview with Kayla and a look at the second guide. In this BBG review I’m going to talk more about how I feel about it two years on and how it changed me. When you hear the term “mental health issues”, what do you think of? Do you think of depressed people lying in bed, do you think of yourself and that maybe somewhere deep down it rings true for you, does it sadden you, does it not even bother you? For me the important thing isn’t just to think of mental health as being “depressed”, as it’s so much more than that. You may not agree, but I think every single one of us goes through some kind of mental health issue at some point in our lives, whether we acknowledge it… View Post
